Mercury Terms of Use
1. About these terms
These terms cover your use of the Mercury app on any device and the Mercury service it connects to. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Mercury.
2. What Mercury is
Mercury is an app for watching media from a private Jellyfin media server run by the app's operator. Mercury is not a subscription service and charges nothing. What is available depends on the server and on what your account has been given access to, and it can change at any time.
3. Your account
- You can request an account from the sign-in screen. The operator approves new accounts and may decline a request without giving a reason.
- Your account is for you alone. Keep your password private and do not share your sign-in with others.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
4. Acceptable use
You may use Mercury for your own personal, non-commercial viewing. You agree not to:
- copy, record, download for redistribution, rebroadcast or share any media you watch through Mercury;
- try to reach content, accounts or parts of the service you have not been given access to, or interfere with the service or the server it runs on;
- use automated tools to scrape or overload the service;
- use Mercury in any way that breaks the law.
5. Content
All films, shows, artwork and descriptions belong to their respective owners. Nothing in Mercury gives you any ownership of, or license to, that content beyond watching it in the app. Title information and artwork may come from The Movie Database (TMDB); this product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Ratings shown in the app are provided for information only and belong to their respective sources.
6. Requests
Where the Requests feature is available, a request is a suggestion to the operator. It does not guarantee that a title will be added, or when.
7. Suspension and ending your access
The operator may suspend or remove any account, for example for a breach of these terms, and may change or stop the service at any time. You may stop using Mercury and delete your account whenever you like.
8. No warranty
Mercury is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. It may be unavailable, interrupted or contain errors, and content may be removed without notice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, Mercury.
10. Privacy
How Mercury handles your information is described in the privacy policy.
11. Changes
If these terms change, the new version will appear here and the date above will change. Continuing to use Mercury after a change means you accept the updated terms.
